Here are a few of my images from my recent trip to Maine with my wife. Much to our surprise, Maine was socked in by a huge fog bank all during our trip. Although we didn't see much past the shoreline, what we did manage to see was awesome! I am a photography teacher at Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. I work with a lot of approaches to photography --- medium format, 35mm, pinhole (I use oatmeal boxes), and now digital. This was my first trip with only a digital camera along, in this case a Canon A60 PowerShot. I was favorably impressed with its clarity and lack of aliasing with fine lines and textures. Although it is "only" a 2 megapixel camera, I am able to print 8x10 prints with excellent resolution.

As you can tell from my sample gallery, I am very design-oriented in my work. Shapes, placement and composition are all very importanr to my photographs. If you've made it this far on my little page, you may even want to check out my link page. There you'll find lots of links that I use in the classroom as well as some personal sites. I also play in a local rock band called The Lizardz, so of course you'll need to check out that site as well... Enjoy my galleries and if you'd like to comment or even purchase a print, contact me at mlarson@wctc.net!
