Welcome to Mark's Page!

Wow,
I get my own web page at last! Here you'll find a short bio, my "professional"
site, and, a gallery of my photography and digital images! So, I'm the keyboard
player for this ragtag bunch of musical prodigies. I've played with Milo and
Grant since, well, forever. We actually go back to around 1973 and probably
earlier, playing in high school bands in Wisconsin Rapids. After losing touch
for several years in college and as we settled in to our "professional"
careers, the infamous McNasty's jams did indeed bring us together. After ten
years of teaching elementary art, I decided it was time to do something for
me or I'd regret it forever, and soon the Lizardz were born. I am a confirmed
equipment junkie, and have a hard time passing up a good deal on a keyboard.
My current collection includes: a Roland Fantom 88S, a Kurweil PC2, a Hammond XP2, a Dave Smith Instruments Evolver analog synth, a Marotta 12-button bass accordion, a couple of Melodicas,
two vintage Wulitzer 200 electric pianos, a Wurlitzer accordion, an ever grownig collection of toy keyboards, and my pride
and joy, a MotionSound Pro3D amp. My performance rig is the Hammond, Kurzweil,
Evolver, Marotta, melodica, and the MotionSound. Still way too many chords to plug in,
but you can't beat the sound! I record at home with a Mac PowerBook, MOTU 8 pre, and MOTU Digital Performer Software.
I currently teach high school photography, graphic design, and digital imaging, and am going on 30 - count 'em - 30 years in the profession. The band is the best therapy I know, and is still a lot cheaper than a shrink! I primarily do pinhole photography with a cardboard oatmeal box, and nature and street photography with my traditional 35mm cameras. I have recently added a Canon EOS digital SLR and my pride and joy, a Panasonic Lumix with a Leica lens. Very, very beautiful lens gorgeous color and the hot tip for compact digital cameras. I also dabble in graphic design - mostly work for the band - posters and such. Check out my gallery of recent digital work!
